On February 6th, the world's first demonstration project of modular small nuclear reactors on land, the outer dome of "Linglong 1", was successfully lifted and crowned at the Changjiang Nuclear Power Station in Hainan! This marks the comprehensive conclusion of the construction of "Linglong No.1". The stainless steel plates used for the internal components of the Linglong 1 small nuclear reactor are all supplied by Taiyuan Iron and Steel Corporation. "Linglong 1" is the "biological brother" of "Hualong 1", both of which are the third-generation nuclear voltage water reactor technology achievements designed by China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute. "Linglong 1" and "Hualong 1" are both small dragons (code ACP100) and large dragons (code ACP1000) in terms of volume, and their power generation is basically a 10:1 ratio of 100000 kilowatts and million kilowatts. Modular small reactors (hereinafter referred to as small reactors) have been highly praised by domestic and foreign nuclear power experts for their greater safety and flexibility. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), there are over 80 types of small reactor technologies being developed globally, and nuclear power powers such as the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Japan, and South Korea have included small reactor technology in their national strategies. At the current stage, the development of small reactors in other countries is still on paper. China's Linglong 1 is the only third-generation nuclear power small reactor in the world that has passed official review by the International Atomic Energy Agency, and has taken the crucial step of engineering implementation, leading the world. Linglong 1 is not simply miniaturizing large-scale nuclear power plants with dispersed layouts, but rather integrating design and modular construction. High inherent safety is the most prominent feature and requirement of "Linglong One". The application scenarios of small and exquisite piles are closer to users, such as regional centralized heating, industrial park power supply, etc., known as "nuclear mobile power banks". The core components are the heart equipment of a nuclear reactor, located within the pressure vessel of the primary equipment of the reactor. They are difficult to manufacture, have a long processing cycle, and have high assembly accuracy. They not only support the fuel components of the nuclear reactor, but also provide shielding and protection for the core and pressure vessel, support and guidance for various measuring devices, and play an important role in achieving nuclear safety operation.
